Val's advertisment

The advertisment Valentina chose to show was an advertisment to prevent people from following each other in bad habits (Smoking).  I think the target audience would be people who smoke so i am guessing the target audience would be from teens to young adults. The evidence was when there was a girl doing somthing gross, other people followed and at the end it says dont follow other people's bad habits.

Lying VS asking any question

If i had to choose between lying or asking any question, i would pick to ask any question. I pick that because not only will you get to know something but you dont exactly hurt anyone's feeligns like you could if you lie and they figure out the truth soon enough. Why i did not pick lying is because once you say a lie, you sort of have to keep up with that lie so you would have to just keep going on and on with that lie and i think it could get a bit stressful and if you fail at it and the person figures out the truth they may seem upset. SO i think Asking a question is better

Monk (Voodoo's curse)

Well, today in English we finsiehd the movie Monk. I have to admit it is a good and entertaining show. We had to point out all the suspects, villians and more and later on fill it into a graph. To fill you in first, you have to know that Monk is the detective and he has a secetary named Natalie. They solve crimies and the crimes come in different episodes.

The episode we watched was called The voodoo's curse, basically it is all about people getting voodoo dolls in thier mail and the next thing they know it, thier dead. The lady all behind this is Angeline. Her uncle was a really rich man and recently he was having heart problems and all Angeline wanted was his wealth. To get his wealth, all angeline needed to do was kill her uncle and it started with Martha Murphy.

Martha Murphy is an elderly women that got hit by a baseball and died. The second victim was a man that got struck by lightning while playing golf . The third victim was Angeline's uncle and the last victim was Natalie. Strangely enough, they all had Vodoo dolls in thier houses and thier names and incidents written and designed on the dolls plus all the dolls came in the exact same cardboard box.

If you thought about it, All the three people (besides the uncle) are just distractions. The evidence that Angeline killed them was becasue in all the medical help scenes Angeline was always there. Also when Natalie was to be brought to the hospital, Angeline was going to kill Natalie in the Ambulance so she told Monk there was no room in the Ambulance but thats just all a lie. What happend to the uncle was that instead of Angeline giving him his medicine, she was giving him drugs. It a lies in because Angeline is a paramedic so she would have known what to give her uncle to kill him.

I am sure that his shoe is NOT boring! :)

personal narrative- The day I got my phone

The day I got my phone

I really regret what I did…… Well do you know why I regret what I did? Well here it goes…..

It was a bright afternoon, and my dad was deciding to bring me to get my phone. When I heard the news really happy. I jumped into the car full of excitement and off we went down the road to ITC. I entered the mall and we went higher and higher to the very top of ITC. We walked to the shop my mom recommended us to go to.

We went to that shop and I looked through the glass and so many phones. I was thinking that there was no WAY I could choose. What phone I wanted. Finally this lady came in and she asked us what type of phone I wanted. My dad helped and said not too expensive and not too cheap. I nodded in agreement. So we sat there and looked at the phones. Suddenly my dad said, “If I were you I would have took the phone I was offering you...” I kept saying no. Finally I looked at the phones again and I found a really nice phone! WOW! That phone was really nice. But the problem was the price was much too high. I looked at the other phones in disappointment. I liked this other one but not as much as the first one. So the lady called another shop to see if they had it because they were out of stock. Too bad for me…All the really nice phones were gone. Minutes soon started to tick pass quickly and I saw a phone that was just perfect for me. It wasn’t expensive or was it too cheap. It was even purple, my favorite color. I bought it!

I ran home telling my sister about the phone I bought.. Soon she thought that she wanted a new phone too but my mom said in 6th grade… Actually the thing I regret was that, the phone my dad wanted to give me is really nice! It has all these really nice functions that you could play with. … Just thinking of it makes me annoyed... L Now I definitely know that I really should listen to my dad!

Characterization- Flyte

I am reading this book called Flyte. It is by Angie Sage she writes a series. She is a really good writer.

On page 219 in the book Flyte Angie Sage makes Septimus Heap a very scared boy. It says, " Septimus looked pale. His heart was pounding." That was because there is a boy called Wolf boy, he was creeping around like he usually does and Septimus gets scared when something or someone looks straight into his eye. I think Angie Sage was trying to bring out that Septimusis is a very timid, and cautious boy.

Do you think Septimus is a catchy name? Well I do. I think Septimus Heap is suppose to be the main character because Angie Sage named her series "the Septimus Heap series." Septimus is a fairly strange name and when you say it it feels weird.

On page 8 of the book, it says, "He climbed up the ladder to tidy the last shelf and suddenly found himself eye to eye with the biggest, hairiest spider he had ever seen." The only reason Septimus saw this spider was because he was the apprentice of the extra ordinary wizard and Marcia, the extra ordinary wizard wanted Septimus to catch all the spiders in the library and throw them out. Septimus used to be in the young army but naturally he was used to bugs like spiders so he didn't mind but who WOULD'NT mind a huge hairy spider?

I personnally think that Angie Sage's books are very addicting because when you start you don't want to ever end. I also really like that character of Septimus and she makes it sound as if he is real.

Angie Sage

My favourite author is Angie Sage. Shse was born in London and grew up in Thames Valley, London and Kent. She has written alot of books and has illustrated books too. My favourite series is Magyk(the Septimus Heap) series. I have read the 1st book and about half of the 2nd book and i think it is a really good seires .An intresting fact about her is that when she was young, she used to
run to the orchards behind her house with a book.
Angie Sage's books make you want to keep reading it. Angie Sage first studied medicine but changed her mind and went to art school. then she studied graphic design and illustration. when she finished college, she started to illustrate books. Soon she started to write children stories, toddler books and then chapter books. Angie Sage's first book was the series of Septimus Heap or in other words, the Magyk series.

I would give her 5 stars.
